Coverage and availability

Where is Sky5G available?

Sky5G 5G is available in Richmond, Julia Creek, Croydon, Normanton and Karumba, and our fixed wireless network covers a wide area of North West Queensland, including Winton and Hughenden. Outside those areas we can connect you through NBN services anywhere in Australia. The coverage map shows each area.

How do I check whether my address is covered?

Enter your address in the coverage checker. It tells you whether 5G or fixed wireless is available there. Coverage areas are indicative, so we confirm coverage and service conditions before you order.

What if I am outside your coverage area?

We can still get you connected with NBN services. Enter your address on the NBN page and send the enquiry, and our team will come back to you with what is available.

Why do speeds vary?

Wireless services are shared and depend on your location, the terrain between you and the tower, your equipment and how busy the network is. Plan speeds are the download/upload speeds of the plan; actual speeds vary.

Plans and pricing

What plans do you offer?

Home internet on our 5G network, Station & business plans on fixed wireless, the Sky5G Backup plan, and NBN connections outside our coverage. Current plans and prices are always on the plans section of the home page.

Is there a lock-in contract?

Home internet is prepaid: you pay for a period of service in advance, and the service pauses when that time runs out until you reload. There is no fixed term and no exit fee. For Station & business and NBN plans, the terms are set out in each plan’s Critical Information Summary and confirmed with you when you sign up.

Do prices include GST?

Yes. All prices shown on this site include GST.

What is a Critical Information Summary?

A short document for each plan that sets out what the service is, what it costs and other key terms. There is a link to it on each plan card. Please read it before you sign up.

What is Sky5G Backup?

Sky5G Backup gives you two internet connections working together with support for high availability. It runs your Starlink service alongside Sky5G Rural to improve speed, performance and reliability. See the plan or ask us about it.

Getting connected

How do I sign up?

Choose a plan on the plans section and press Get started. For home internet you sign up online: pick how you want to connect, choose your plan, confirm your identity and pay. For Station & business and NBN plans you send a signup request and our team confirms the service at your address and arranges the connection.

What do I need to get online?

For home internet you can use an eSIM, a physical SIM, or a modem with a SIM already installed. The signup page shows the options and any modems you can buy. For fixed wireless and NBN, we confirm the equipment and installation with you.

Why do you need to verify my identity?

Australian rules require telecommunications providers to confirm who a service is being supplied to. The check is part of online signup.

Your account and payments

How do I manage my service?

Sign in to My Account with your email or mobile number. We send you a one-time code, so there is no password to remember. From there you can see your services, top up and update your details.

How do I top up or reload?

Top up in My Account, or buy a voucher and enter its code on the reload page.

What happens when my prepaid time runs out?

The service pauses. It starts again as soon as you reload.

I am having trouble paying my bill. Can you help?

Yes. Please read our Financial Hardship Policy or apply for hardship help, and we will work out an arrangement with you.
